Special Features of Driver / Driver Notes:
Only simple playback and recording are supported. Wave table related hardware is unsupported.

The SCSI interface on the Sound Blaster 16 SCSI-II has been reported to work with our Adaptec 6x60 driver, though is not a supported configuration.

Known Problems


In order to configure resources (like IRQ, DMA, port addresses) correctly, make sure that the system BIOS knows about the resources used by this and other ISA adapters.

Use the PnP personality for SB16 PnP boards and enable support for Plug and Play in the EISABus driver (if you are using the driver from NextAnswers).

Due to ongoing development and testing of OPENSTEP 4.0, the beta version (v3.34) of this driver will neither be tested on NEXTSTEP 3.3 nor upgraded to "Released" status.
